Rachel has been busy out in San Francisco.
She is developing a new clothing line with her "PixieBird"..a
cute little bird that does not speak but has it thoughts expressed in
graphics in its voice bubble. (www.pixiebird.com) And, her friend Jay has started his own company DevToaster www.devtoaster.com Their new iPhone based application got written up in the New York Times Auto section. |

Pumpkin carving time again. We had an "observer" who found herself immortalized...temporarily. Molly posed for the pumpkin on the left...she was all i could see, so it seemed logical to carve her. The one on the right is Bill's creation.

Bill is a member of the Board of Unity, a college here in Maine. In May of this year he was appointed as Vice Chair of the Board. We attended Graduation with him in full cap and gown regalia.

That's Hanni and her husband Gerhardt at the top of the page, at Hanni's birthday party in Venice, February 29, 2008.
Chris and I are back from that party and also trips to Florence, Pompeii, Vesuvius, Rome and Ravenna. My photo file counter tells me that I have 4,948 new pictures on my machine! So, when I get a chance to put some up I will. Or, I might do a photo blog....stay tuned.

Chris and I are off for a two week vacation in Italy. We start in Venice where we will celebrate Hanni's Birthday. (pictured above and at Cvak on Friends page). For those of you who were not around when I was in college, Hanni Ottisch Cvak was an Exchange Student at our house when she was in high school and I was in College. She lives in Vienna, but decided to have her birthday in Venice. So, we are off. No computers iwth us, though. so you will have to wait til after March 11 to see updates.

New recipe. Ricker Family Farms Fresh Cranberry Sauce. Rachel, a staunch supporter of the canned with ridges variety, says she is switching to this. It gels up and is lovely.

We built a snowman after our first storm--we are into our 3rd now--and then set up the tripod to bring you the above photo of us all plus the snowman--we are also into our 3rd snowman as of this am. They keep getting shorter!
