Preheat oven 475º
4 Cups Flour
4 Tsp Bakewell Cream
2 Tsp Baking Soda
( OR 6 Tsp Baking Powder)
1 Tsp Salt/
1/2 Cup Shortening
1 1/2 Cup Cold Milk
Mix but don't over mix. Knead 5-6 times on floured board.
Roll out 1/2 to 3/4" thick. Cut with round ( 2 1/2" ) cutter. Place on cookie sheet and bake at 475º for 5 minutes. TURN OVEN OFF and let sit another 5-10 minutes til brown.
Made 24, 2 1/2" Biscuits. All baked at once on 11 x 17 trapped air cookie sheet.
